Passing peacefully, Anita Louise Blackwell was called home on April 17, 2021. Anita was born in Cleburne, Texas on October 1, 1936 to William and Lenora Hudgins. She lived her early life in Rio Vista and graduated from Rio Vista High School where she was a varsity athlete. After high school she attended executive assistant school and used those skills the rest of her life. She married the love of her life, Henry Wayne Blackwell in 1956. Anita worked most of her adult life because she loved to be around people. Her longest tenure was office manager at Camp Hoblitzelle. She was an Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was a member of the Ellis Co Republic Women and was an election judge for many years. After retiring she was a volunteer with Baylor Hospital Auxiliary and received her 1,500-hour volunteer pin. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Wayne Blackwell, the love of her life, her parents, her brothers Jimmy and Bobby Hudgins and sister Alice Chambers. She is survived by her brothers Billy and Jobie Hudgins, her children Randall (wife DeeAnn), Clinton (wife Kelly) and Julie (husband AJ), her grandchildren, Zachery Brammer, Henry Augustus Blackwell, Nikole Hall, and Georgia Blackwell, step grandchildren TJ Williams, Sarah Williams, Jason Phelps, Jimmy Phelps and Desiree Phelps, great-grandchildren, Ryder Brammer and Ellie Brammer and many nieces, nephews, sisters in law and friends that she loved very much.

I first met Ms Blackwell when she was volunteering at the old Baylor Waxahachie Hospital. I had just started Volunteering there doing popcorn in the lobby.
She was the sweetest ,most gentile Texas lady I have ever met.
She always had a smile, and a warm greeting. I never heard her say a bad thing about anyone and never saw her ever so any anger.
She was a Texas lady and will be dearly missed! 🛐🛐🙏🏻🙏🏻
