Annette Whitaker Pierce Messenger born July 17, 1945, in Waxahachie, Texas, to Leon Clifford Whitaker and Irene Grace Waddell Whitaker. She was the last of six children.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Harlan Ray Pierce, her brothers, Clifford Leon Whitaker, William Charles (Buddy) Whitaker, sisters Kirk Lee Burgin, Billie John Beene, and Frances Jean Whitaker, nieces, Karon Whitaker Flippo, and Donna Beene Perry.

She is survived by her loving husband, Josh Ray Messenger, his four children, Price Messenger, Cindy Messenger Miller, Kenn Messenger, and Kelly Messenger Hall. She is also survived by her nephew, Sammy Whitaker, her nieces, Elaine Whitaker Spencer, Pat Beene Roberts, and Shelia Beene Lock as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews. She was dearly loved by all.

Annette worked in the insurance industry all of her adult life. She was a people person, and a hugger. Some of her first words to you when she met you were, "I'm a hugger!" No one could walk away from Annette without a smile on their face. She was a beautiful Christian woman. She is irreplaceable, and will be greatly missed by all.
