Obituary for Barbara Louise Colton (Colton)
Barbara Louise Colton, better known to everyone as Bobbie was born on Christmas Day during the World War II era while her father was overseas. Preceding her in death her parents were Charles Eugene Colton and her mother Marjorie Louise Blaker Colton. He was better known as Gene and she was better known as Margie. She has one surviving sister, Gloria Michael and preceding her in death is her siblings Kathy Cagle and one brother Chuck Colton.
Bobbie had four children, Shawn Timothy Rodkey and his partner Zelta Smith, who live in Plano, and Kristi Marjean Rodkey, who lives in Joshua. Her third child is Bobby Dady, who lives in Kansas City, Mo. And her fourth child Jacob Michael Colton, 11 years old, still lived at home with her.
She has many grandchildren: Kristopher Rodkey, his partner Kimberly Rios with three great grand children: Kristina, Jonathon and Ava. More grandchildren is Samantha Jo Dunham, Shawn Tiler Rodkey, Tyler Joseph Arden, Bobby Dady Jr, Dakota Dady and Colton Dady.
She always had a laugh that was so contagious, she could get everyone else laughing. My sister has a large heart of gold. And a couple of years ago I had heart surgery and afterwards the doctors said I needed to exercise. So me and Bobbie go garage saleing one day and she found this nice exercise bike, she decides to buy it saying she needed to start using it. The funny thing is, when we got to my house, she unloaded it and said she was going to leave it at my house because she did not have room and I could use it if I wanted to. This was just her way of making sure I exercised.
