His infectious personality and quick wit always brought a smile. Rarely in life do you have the privilege of meeting a person who becomes a lifelong friend after a chance encounter, but that was BA. No matter the situation or the reason, you couldn’t help but becoming a friend. BA was always ready to jump in and lend a hand, whether on a mission trip to Trinidad or a trip to Alaska to help out a friend. Tuesday night at the shop was an ongoing fellowship, of an ever-evolving group of men swapping stories about hunting or fishing. Something was always going on from building smokers to working on someone’s car that needed work. When guys weren’t working on the latest whatever, they were trading. It was never about getting the best deal, trading was about the people and the interaction. If he had it and you needed it, he would trade you for it, and you usually got the better end of the deal. Even in sickness, he helped out when he could, and throughout much of the last seven years continued to maintain his positive sense of humor and tender heart. His family and all those who had the pleasure of getting to know him will truly miss him.
