Obituary for Chase Phillip Goldwater

Chase Phillip Goldwater, 27, of Waxahachie, Texas went to be with our Lord December 22, 2022. He was born August 7, 1995 in Palestine, Texas.

Chase is survived by his mother and father, Melissa and Daren Johnson of Midlothian, Texas, his sister Haley Goldwater and Zak Yglecias of Dallas, Texas, and his brother, Clayton Goldwater of Kyle, Texas and his father, Phillip “Gus” Goldwater of Palestine, Texas. In addition, he leaves behind his grandparents Charles and Gay Nell Jenkins of Palestine, Texas. He is survived by his brother and sister Jett and Kylie Johnson of Midlothian, Texas. He is also survived by his uncles and aunts, Jason and Elizabeth Bryant, of Palestine, Texas, Charlie Jenkins of Whitney, Texas and Olivia and Jeff Whitfield of Elkhart, Texas. Additionally, he was loved by all his cousins, Hannah, Abi, and Lily Bryant, Tristan and Shelby Jenkins, Raegan and Emily Hill, and Corban and Carson Whitfield. In addition to the numerous family members, he is survived by his loving girlfriend Erica English of Waxahachie, Texas.

Chase was a member of First Baptist Church of Grandview, Texas where he was baptized at a young age after accepting the Lord Jesus in his heart at Vacation Bible School.

Chase was a student athlete at Grandview High School, Temple College and Harris Stowe State University. He graduated with a degree in Sociology on December 12, 2020.

Chase was a fierce competitor on the baseball and football fields, where he accumulated touchdowns, homeruns, accolades, and much more. Baseball helped him to see the country from Texas, Canada, California, and Missouri. Chase made friends and memories everywhere he went.
