Obituary for Christopher Lee Knigge

It is with joy and peace that we announce that Christopher Lee Knigge; loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, Nightstalker, friend, and follower of Christ, began walking with Jesus on the streets of gold on 1/28/2023 at the age of 45 years old. Chris died peacefully in his home in Midlothian, Texas after a short, hard fought battle with metastatic colon cancer caused by burn pits during his years serving in the Army. He was married on August 30, 2008 to Brandy DeVore in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. He served in the military for 15 years with the Special Operations Aviation Regiment and 6 years as a federal employee with DCMA. He was surrounded by his wife, Brandy and family.

Chris was born to Lynn Knigge and Rhonda Lowe at Fort Hood, Texas on July 27, 1977. He is survived by his wife, Brandy; their four children, Ryan (fiancé Ashley), Devyn, Danielle, and John; his dad, Lynn (Rita); brothers, Scott (Lori), Kevin (fiancé Lexy), Timothy (Tasha); sister, Krystal (Justin); sister-in-laws, Melinda (Joshua), Sarah (Coley), Hannah (Douglas); brother-in-law, Bo (Grace); nine nieces and sixteen nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Culp Lowe (Bill).

Chris dedicated his life to God, his family, and friends. He would often help his neighbors, co-workers, friends, and family with any need. He was hard-working, selfless, humble, and generous.

Most importantly, Chris cherished his family. He was fiercely protective and adored his wife, Brandy. She was his best friend and love of his life. Chris was also an amazing father to his four children; Ryan, Devyn, Danielle, and John. He was always available for a listening ear, a helping hand, or words of wisdom. He loved being a father and he was extremely proud of each one of his kids.

Chris loved to spend his time outdoors fishing or hunting; in his shop tinkering on a project, or watching movies with his family. Chris loved to spend his time taking Brandy and his kids traveling across the United States, or surprising Brandy with special dates.

After the service, we will have finger foods and desserts at our home to reminisce and share in stories of Chris. The address will be 6420 Kingston Dr. Midlothian, TX.
