Obituary

David Stephen Haley, age 71, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home. David Stephen Haley was born May 19, 1949 in Colorado City, Tx to A.J. and Sarah Haley. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1967. Straight out of high school David went into the United States Army and served his country for 4 years. David married Kathy Jane Hartin on July 9, 1989 and resided in Cedar Hill, Tx until their children reached high school. They then moved to McAllen, Tx after David received a job offer with Haggar clothing in Weslaco, Tx. He spent the last several years of his life residing in Midlothian, Tx with his wife. In his past time he enjoyed such hobbies as golf, playing cards, and reading Louis L'Amour books. He was a man who loved spending time with his family. He always had a joke to tell that would put a smile on anyones face. He will truly be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing such a wonderful man. David Stephen Haley is survived by; his wife, Kathy Jane Haley; son Charles Haley and wife Kelly; grandsons, Austin and Talan; Daughter; Melissa Hawkins and husband Ken; grandson Caden; Daughter Karmen Stewart and significant other Rick Reeder; grandsons, Branson and Trey; Daughter Keri Allen and husband Lon; grandsons, Landon and Shane; granddaughter Vanessa; Daughter Morgan Haley and significant other Luis Vazquez; grandson Dylan; granddaughter; Bailee; Daughter Mackenzie Haley and significant other John Hernandez; grandsons, Bentley, Bryson, and Braylon; granddaughter Brooklyn; sister Rebekah Haley Loveless; sister, Donna Haley Clark and Husband John; sister, Ann Haley Deaver-Pierce; sister, Sarah Haley Saunders and husband Jerome; sister, April Haley Higginbotham; brother, A.J. Haley Jr and wife Loretta; brother Ronald Haley; and many nieces and nephews.

Dear Haley Family, I only new David a few years , from playing video games at Speedy B grocery in Cedar Hill, and also a paint job I done for him at his new house in Midalothian. He was a great man and friend , who I’m so thankful I got to know , at least some. My deepest condolences to the family. Lawson Mowles...
