Obituary for Donald Leon "Don" Reese

Donald L. “Don” Reese was born February 3, 1935 in Calumet, Oklahoma. He passed away on October 18, 2021.

Don is survived by his wife Tommie, son Craig and his wife Kris, of Dallas, and son Barry of Midland. He is also survived by his brother Robert, of Calumet, OK, his sister Ann McMillan of Oklahoma City, OK, sister Carolyn Richardson of Calumet, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Orla and Dorothy Reese, his brother Charles and his sister-in-laws Cathy and Kay Reese.

Don attended school at Calumet and the University of Oklahoma. He worked as a geologist and manager with Chevron Corporation for 27 years, retiring in 1990.

Some of the places Tommie and Don lived were Norman, Oklahoma City, Corpus Christi, Gainesville, Midland, Houston, Whitehouse, Midlothian, Waxahachie, and Littleton, Colorado.

Don’s primary interests included: basketball, first as a player and later as a fan; geology of which he truly loved as his chosen profession; fishing; gardening; and church activities. Don and Tommie loved to travel and enjoyed numerous road trips, often traveling with friends. Their travels took them to 47 of the lower 48 states.
