Obituary for Elizabeth A Rankin

Elizabeth Ann Rankin "Ge" was born November 4, 1942, in Kaufman, TX, to the late Willie T. and Alta Mae Holland. She was raised in Kaufman and graduated from Kaufman High School. After high school she attended Abilene Christian University. Then went on to be a 1st grade teacher for 37 years (36 in Midlothian). Ann met Rexford Douglas Rankin while he was attending college, through mutual friends, and they married in 1965. They moved to Midlothian in 1968 where Rex started a business, Rex Rankin General Contracting. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Ann loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Rexford Douglas Rankin; parents, Willie Thelbert and Alta Mae Holland; brother-in-law, Randy Rankin, sister-in-law, Sharon Holland.

Ann is survived by her son, Rodney Douglas Rankin and wife Rebecca of Midlothian; grandson Ryan Rankin and wife Jade of Maypearl; grand-daughter RaeAnn Rankin and fiancé Tobie Dobbie of Midlothian; great grandchildren Rexton and Ronnie; brother Bill Holland and wife Linda of Mabank; sister-in-law, Donna Rankin-Whitehead and husband Wayne of Wills Point; niece, Pam Emerson and husband Wade of Wills Point; nephew, Rusty Rankin and wife Lori of Wills Point; great nieces, Cassie and Kylie and their families of Wills Point; great nephew, Rustin Rankin of Wills Point.
