Elsie “Faye” Brackett passed away on January 29, 2021. She was born on August 25, 1925, to Ruben and Louella Morgan in Blossom, Texas. She married her loving husband of 58 years, Lloyd Brackett on February 29, 1944, and raised two children.
Lloyd was a member of the United States Airforce for 20 years and fought in three wars, earning many awards including the Purple Heart. Faye raised a family during this time and embraced the role of military wife. She was incredibly supportive of her husband each time a new residence was established in Maine, Florida, Delaware, Japan, and others. Once Lloyd retired from the Airforce in 1964, they settled in Euless, Texas where they could visit with their children and grandchildren often. In 1994, they relocated to Canton, Texas to also be close to Faye’s cherished sisters. At the time of her death, she resided in Midlothian, Texas close to her granddaughters.
Faye was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, son, daughter, and eleven siblings. She is survived by her granddaughter Yvonne Riddle and husband Paul, granddaughter Laurie Zeptner and husband Glen, five great-grandchildren, and seven great great-grandchildren.
Faye was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
A memorial service will be held at the Midlothian Funeral home on Thursday, March 4th at 11:00 am followed by a private burial at the DFW National Cemetery.
