Obituary for Esther Elizabeth Stevenson (Wolfe)
Esther Elizabeth Stevenson (Bette) of Midlothian, Texas left this world on the 16th of January, 2023. Bette was born on December 28th, 1919 in Barnesborro, Pennsylvania to Carl and Hannah Wolfe and was the eldest of 4 daughters.
Just before her senior year in High School, her father took a job in Superior, Wisconsin where Bette eventually met her husband, Edwin B. Stevenson. They married on August 25th, 1942 and were together 45 years before Edwin passed.
During those years, Bette taught 2nd grade while raising 3 children, who now mourn her passing...Paul Stevenson and wife Meghan of North Hampton, New Hampshire; Jeanne Munger and husband Ned of Midlothian, Texas; and Sue Overvold also of Midlothian, Texas.
Bette is survived by her 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and 2 of her 3 sisters (both in their late 90’s).
