Obituary for Howard Walter Baker
Howard Walter Baker, 63, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 10th, 2022.
Walt was born on May 7, 1958, in San Manuel, AZ. He was a beloved son, husband, father, brother and grandfather. He provided for his family as a HVAC technician. Walt met the love of his life, Wendy Baker, in 1994, when they both worked at Dallas County. They were wed on June 29th, 1996. He was an avid outdoors man. In his free time, he was either reading his Bible or helping others. He was a servant and disciple of Christ, and a fisher of men. He loved God and his family. He was loved dearly by his family and friends. He will be missed by all.
Walt was preceded in death by his mother, Betty L. Baker; and grandfather, Walter Nisewaner.
Walt is survived by his loving wife, Wendy; son, Sterling Baker and wife, Jacalyn; son, Jeffrey Stokes and wife, Amanda; grandson, Daylan Pope; sister, Jodi Moody; brother, Elden Baker Jr.; sister, Erin Childs and husband Billy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at 9:30 am, February 17, 2022, Oak Crest Baptist Church in Midlothian, TX, with Pastor Blaine Craig officiating. Services will be immediately following the viewing at 10:30 am. The family will receive close friends and family for the burial at 2:00 PM February 17, 2022, at Little Bethel Cemetery in Duncanville, TX.
