Obituary for Jack David Hays

Jack David Hays was born in Dallas, TX December 29, 1955. The family relocated to Arlington where he finished school at Lamar High. He went on to college at Stephen F. Austin University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture. Jack moved to Midlothian in 1984, where he lived the remainder of his life. Jack spent his career working for Bass & Hays Foundry where he was soon to retire from his duties as CEO. Jack enjoyed music of all kinds. He was a guitar player, upright bass player and participated in several bands over the years with his friends. Jack was comfortable in pearl snaps, trucker hats and overalls. He also enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with family. Jack was a loving brother, son, and was the epitome of a fun Uncle. From endless trips to the bookstore, Scarborough Fare and McDonalds, his nephews and nieces were his pride and joy. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Jackson Hays and his sister-in-law Kim Hays. Jack is survived by his mother, Georgie Stribling, brothers, Tim Hays and Matt Hays, sister-in-law Patti Hays, Nephews Chris (Crystal) Hays and Sam (Megan) Hays, Nieces, Carla (Robert) McFadden and Sarah (Derek) Douglas, and eight great nieces and nephews.
