Obituary for Jennifer Lee Prescott (Jones)

Jennifer Jones Prescott was born in Waxahachie, TX on January 7, 1971, to the late James R. Jones and Sherrie Boyd Jones and passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2022. She is survived by her husband Randy Prescott, stepson Joey (Maura) Prescott, grandson Joey Prescott Jr., sister Paula (Stan) Baucum, niece Logan Baucum, nephew Harrison Baucum, brother James Jones Jr., father-in-law Norman Prescott, stepmother Angela Jones, aunt Paula Andrews, aunt Yvonne Jones, uncle Bill (Lizz) Boyd, and numerous friends and cousins whom she loved dearly.

Jennifer grew up on a small farm in Midlothian, TX enjoying taking care of animals which became a lifelong attribute. She graduated from Midlothian High School and attended Executive Secretarial school. Jennifer spent most of her working career in the Real Estate and Construction Industry with Atwood Appraisals, Balfour Beatty, and BECK Construction. She excelled in marketing using her incredible creative skills. Eventually, Jennifer decided to become a stay-at-home mom to her precious daughter, Mattie Kay Prescott. Jennifer used her professional skill set to homeschool Mattie and to volunteer at church, school, Mattie’s volleyball or dance groups, and Tzu Zoo dog rescue. She represented the fourth generation of her family by delivering Meals on Wheels in Tarrant County.

Full of joy, Jesus loving, lake loving and fiercely loyal, Jennifer’s ability to show compassion for friends and family was extraordinary. She loved her people through handmade cards or thoughtful gifts, photography, sharing technology, preparing scrumptious meals, and by always being present and engaged in helping others. She will be missed by all who loved her until the great reunion in Heaven.

A celebration of life will be Monday November 21st, 6PM at Stonegate Church, 4025 US 287, Midlothian, TX 76065 located on the corner of Walnut Grove and Highway 287…the former farm she grew up on. Full circle.
