Obituary for Kathryn Louise Haskins (Hubbell)

Kathryn Louise Haskins (née Hubbell) was called to heaven while at her mother’s house in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 41 on Sunday, August 7, 2022. She was born to David Hubbell and Robyn Webber on February 28th, 1981 at Hillcrest hospital in Waco, Texas. She enjoyed the nickname ‘Kat’.

Kathryn grew up in Cedar Hill, Texas, where she was active in ballet and cheerleading. She was a beautiful girl with two sisters, one brother and many friends. Kathryn enjoyed swimming and spending time with her relatives in Mansfield & Rosenberg, and later attended Cedar Hill High School.

Kathryn married her love Brad Haskins and in 1998 gave birth to their first child, Madalyn. She was then blessed with the birth of Hannah in 2003 and Emma in 2004. She loved playing on the floor with her children for hours and making Christmas special.

Known for her wonderful laughter and strong emotion, Kathryn was a loyal companion who celebrated having fun & being funny. With a sometimes irreverent & fierce sense of humor, she devotedly loved others and God. Kathryn liked being “girly” and was very strong throughout life, surviving cancer and managing impulsive mental illness. There are many accounts of Kathryn pulling others away from crisis, even suicide, with her marvelous spirit and ability to not judge. She was leading through the online international support group she started called Bipolar Beauty and writing a book about bipolar disorder at the time of her passing.

Music, good meals, scary movies & fearless conversation were never far from Kat. She loved to eat a Sonic burger with you and would take your side when you needed it most.

Kathryn considered the births of her three daughters the crowning achievement of her life. She is survived by her loving children Madalyn, Hannah and Emma Haskins; her mother and stepfather, Robyn and Dennis Webber; her father, David Hubbell; her sisters, Amy Davis & Krystina Hubbell; her brother, Jonathan Hubbell; her stepbrother, Drue Hollis; her grandparents, John and Penny Smale; and her many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathryn was greeted in heaven by her Granny & Papa and stepbrother Dax.

She will be dearly missed.
