Katie (Baumgardner) Lee Chavez was born December 5, 1932, in Lefors, Texas. She passed peacefully from this life into the hands of her loving and merciful God. From Matlock Place in Arlington under the loving care of Valor Hospice on October 19, 2022.
Katie was born to Nathan Lee and Katie Melissa Eleanor (Pickle) Baumgardner of Lefors, Texas. As a late in life baby, was raised with her cousins, not her siblings. To keep it simple, Katie was blessed with 8 children of 2 are twins.

Katie had a servant’s heart, bright light in a dark world. She was quick to share Jesus with everyone. Never met a strander, new and old friends were family forever.
She had a sense of someone needing prayer, quick to pray no matter were she was. With a faith that could move mountains, she reminded everyone it was not her who touched them it was Jesus, and to give him thanks for healing or answered prayer, not her!
Loved to bake and share all her sweet confections. Butterflies and Crosses were her favorite jewelry and was blessed with a large verity of both from past holidays and birthdays. Her family was the joy of her life next to God and nothing made her happier than to be with family often, and with many as possible.
