Katie Marie Jones “Katiebug” was born on May 3, 2000 at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA. Katie attended school in Midlothian at TE Baxter, JA Vitovsky, Walnut Grove Middle School and graduated from Midlothian High School in 2018. Katie was a member of the Color Guard throughout high school and put her whole heart and soul into it. She went to Navarro College briefly where she continued what she loved, Color Guard. Katie can be described as loving, headstrong, vibrant, sassy, hardworking, smart, creative, artistic and had a smile that could light up a room. Her most recent job allowed her to find her passion, taking care of people. She was a CNA at Renaissance Nursing and Rehab in Italy, TX. She absolutely loved her job, her co-workers, and her patients. She was on her way to become a nurse in the future.

Katie leaves behind her cats, Rosco, Indy and a little surprise kitten found in her apartment. Her mom, Jessica, soon to be stepdad Bryan, brother Matthew, grandparents Scott and Robin, Aunt Heidi, Uncle Aaron, Uncle Rische, Aunt Marisa, Cousins: Cassidy, Lauren, Tori, Alex and Rylan. Her dad and stepmom – Stephen & Christina Jones and stepbrother Hayden West of Red Oak. Grandparents Jimmy H. & Thelma Jean Jones as well as Norma Wafer. Aunts: Susan Williams (Tim) & Cynthia Nance (Sam). Uncles: James Jones (Rochelle), David Jones (Tiffany “Dandy”), Jonathan Wafer (Holly), Billy Wafer (Robin), Johnnie Wafer. Cousins: Michael and Alicia Croteau, Joseph and “Tadpole” Jones, Damien, Jameson, Carlee and Gage Wafer. Rachel David & Shauna Nance.
