Kenneth Dean Barker passed away on January 19, 2023. Ken was born on March 3, 1949 in Aberdeen, SD to William Clayton and Rheta Lovett Barker. He married Linda Alice Schumacher on August 30, 1969. After graduating from Northern State University, Ken was a 32 year employee of Sentry Insurance before finishing his career working as an independent agent. In his free time, he loved spending time with his family and getting set up for the next project. From building furniture to restoring cars, he was always creating or fixing something. He readily shared his gifts with others interested in the same.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, his parents, Clayton and Rheta Barker, and his brother Wayne Clayton Barker.

He is survived by his children - Chad Barker and wife, Ellen, Christina Brown, and Cassandra Knutson and husband, Justin, four grandchildren, his sister-in-law Marcile Barker, niece Cindy Roberts, and nephew Brad Barker. The family will be holding a private gathering in his honor.
