Obituary for Kolawole Joel Ojediran

Dr. Kolawole Joel Ojediran was born on June 17, 1952 in Jos Plateau state, Nigeria to Mr Amos Ojediran and Mrs Esther Ojediran of Ile Gbogi, Isale Afon Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He spent his early years in Jos, Nigeria. He attended Baptist primary school. He started his high school education at St John’s and transferred to Baptist High School, Jos in his second year. He graduated with high honors (Grade One) in 1970. In 1971 he was admitted to University of Lagos, Nigeria. He then continued on to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) where he graduated as a Medical doctor in 1977 at the age of 24. He completed his housemanship at Baptist Hospital Ogbomoso in 1977 where he met his spouse Omobola Felicia Ojediran. From 1978 to 1982, he furthered his medical studies in London.

Dr Kolawole believed in working hard and was loved greatly. He had his own medical practice; Calvary Clinic Akure. He was a joy to be around and enjoyed making people laugh.

He got married to his beloved wife Omobola on August 21, 1982. His children include; Tolulope Ojediran, Oluwabukola Ojediran, Oluwatosin Ojediran and his wife Oluwatoyin , Ayodele Conlin and her husband Zachary, Prince Kolawole Ojediran and his wife Sara, and his granddaughter Adedamola Ojediran.

Dr. Kolawole was a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. He had a great heart and passion for evangelism and the prison ministry. He was instrumental in leading and planting Zion Baptist Church Iju, Ondo Nigeria. His love for God was evident in his passion for singing worship songs and playing musical instruments. He was an active member of Gideon International, African Christian Fellowship and the Prison Ministry. He devoted his time and energy to the ministry of winning souls until his passing on May 13, 2022.

He is survived by wife, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, as well as beloved friends. He was much loved by his family and his friends and will be greatly missed but forever remembered.
