Obituary for Marcia Shirley Owens (Cordero Alvarez)
On Thursday, September 8, 2022, Marcia Shirley Owens left this earth and joined our Lord and Savior in heaven. She passed away peacefully in her home in Midlothian, Texas.
Marcia was born in Mocache, Ecuador. She grew up Santa Elena, Ecuador and eventually came to the United States when she was 18. Marcia had a passion for reading and learning the word of God, growing in her faith and filling in life with the Holy Spirit. She also enjoyed card making and scrapbooking, spending time with friends and family and spoiling her pets whom she referred to as her “babies”, Taffy, Nikki, Maya and Meko.
Marcia is survived by her Husband John, Brothers Giamil, Jorge, Wilmer, Danilo and Sisters Rosse Mary and Tanya, Mother-in-law Mary, Brother-in-law Ray, Son-in-law John Jr, Daughter-in-law’s Jenna and Taelor and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
Marcia always had a smile that could light up a room and will be greatly missed by her family and friends but will forever live in our hearts and memories.
Celebration of Life Church Service will be held at 3PM on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at The Cowboy Church of Ellis County.
