Mary June Dollarhide Ray was born on November 10, 1925 in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Lincoln Edward and Ina Vena Dollarhide. She entered into heaven on February 1, 2021. Her daughter Sherry was at her side and saw her pass peacefully into God's loving arms. When she was visiting her sister in Evansville, Indiana she met her future husband Delbert while he was on leave. They corresponded and fell in love. On January 1, 1945 he came to see her in Texarkana . By January 3 they were married. June and Delbert and two children, Sherry and Barry moved to Midlothian in 1957. She was an active member of the Midlothian Church of Christ until she could no longer attend. She had taught Sunday school for many years and enjoyed going to the Tuesday Women's Bible Class. She was the past president of the Midlothian Chapter of the American Legion Womens' Auxiliary. She loved working in her flower garden, reading, writing poetry and working the word find puzzles. Most of all she loved visiting with her friends. In 2012 at the age of 87 she decided she wanted to paint the outside of her house. She completed the whole thing. She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert and her son Barry. They are now reunited in heaven.
