Obituary for Mattie Kay Prescott (Prescott)

Mattie Kay Prescott was born on February 25, 2007, in Dallas, TX and met her Lord and Savior face to face on November 10, 2022, along with her mother Jennifer Prescott. She is survived by her father Randy Prescott, brother Joey Prescott, Grandfather Norman Prescott, Auntie Paula (Stan) Baucum, Uncle James Jones Jr., cousins Logan Baucum and Harrison Baucum, and nephew Joey Prescott Jr.

Mattie, a precious soul, entered this world 15 years ago much to the delight of not only her parents but a long list of family and friends. She was loved before she was born and was a special gift to all of us. Mattie, much like her great-great-grandmother Mattie Kay Kurz brought immense joy, laughter and wonder to all she met. She was a strong Jesus warrior with a kind compassionate heart. Mattie was a competitor, a giggle machine, an encourager, a dancer, a cheerleader to others, a loyal friend, and a profoundly committed Christian that loved to read God’s Word. Mattie was also a connoisseur of buttermilk pie and anything chocolate. Most of all she loved animals and wanted to attend Dallas Baptist University and become a Missionary.

Mattie will be missed by her 360 Warrior Volleyball teammates, her Matthew Road Academy school friends, TCAL youth group, and countless others.

A celebration of life will be Monday November 21st, 6PM at Stonegate Church, 4025 US 287, Midlothian, TX 76065.
