Obituary for Michael Holguin

Michael Holguin, age 46 passed away at home peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday April 21,2022. He was born on December 19,1975, in El Paso, Texas to Silverio Sr. and Rosario (Lopez) Holguin. He was the youngest of three brothers and an older brother to a sister. Michael was a 1996 graduate of Ysleta High School. He began his work career with Evergreen Cemetery back in 2000 and was employed with them for over 9 years. In 2014 he moved to be with his sister in Waxahachie, Texas. While working at MidTex Co. in 2016 he met the love of his life Courtney Cole. They married on November 6, 2021.
Michael was a jokester and would always have everyone laughing. He had a quick response to everything, so you had to be fast. Michael was always the fun uncle to his nieces and nephews. Everyone that knew Michael knew he LOVED the Dallas Cowboys. He would only watch the game at home and would not eat until the game was over. He said he did not want to jinx them. If they lost, you guessed it he would go to bed mad and hungry lol. He was always representing Dallas Cowboy, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Ranger clothing with some CLEAN tennis shoes. Always matching! He took so much pride in his clothing and shoes that he made his son Caleb his twin. We will miss his sense of humor and fashion!
Michael is survived by his wife Courtney, his son Caleb, daughter Kaylie and fur baby Archie, his father and stepmother Silverio Sr. (Albina) Holguin, brother’s Silverio Jr. (Ida) Holguin, Mark (Bea) Holguin and sister Jessica Guizar. And In-law parents Luke (Diane) Cole, sisters-in-law Katherine McCoy, Shirley (Bobby) Allen, and brother-in-law Luke (Tish) Cole, 11 nephews,7 nieces, 2 great nieces, 3 great nephews and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Michael was predeceased by his mother Rosario L. Holguin, grandparents Victor (Maria) Lopez and Domingo (Jesusita) Holguin along with several loved ones and his fur baby Dino.
Michael loved his family and friends dearly! There wasn’t a day that went by that he didn’t call his father Silverio Holguin. Those calls will be missed dearly!
To honor Michael’s wishes cremation has taken place and will be buried with his mother Rosario L Holguin. We are asking everyone to wear Dallas Cowboy logo or colors if possible.
