Myra Jo Brooks, née Massey, was born on August 12, 1943. On December 29, 2022, she rejoined James Brooks, her husband of 48 years, who had preceded her in 2014. She was a loving mother, pastor’s wife, church worker, and involved grandmother. In her later years, she was a very active volunteer in her church and spent her Sunday mornings singing in the choir and teaching children about Jesus.

She is survived by her two children, Chris Brooks and Jennifer Mays, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
