Nelda Faye Barger Maxwell Brackenridge passed away Wednesday. January 27, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Cache, Oklahoma to Joe and Evelyne Wheeler Barger on February 20, 1944. In 1949 at the age of 5 she and her family moved to Midlothian where she grew up and attended Midlothian High School, graduating in 1962. On January 11, 1963 she married Billy Pat Maxwell. She supported him throughout his education, followed by his service in the Army at Fort Benning, Georgia. In 1970, they moved to Midlothian and opened Maxwell Family Dentistry where she worked as the office manager. On September 5, 1995 she married Ken Brackenridge. Nelda was raised in the First Baptist Church in Midlothian and later became an active working member of New Beginnings Church of Mansfield. Nelda loved the outdoors as well as putting together puzzles and spending time with her grandson. Nelda is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Evelyne Wheeler Barger, brother - Bobby Joe Barger, Husband Ken Brackenridge, and Husband Dr. Billy Pat Maxwell. Nelda is survived by her son-, Mark Maxwell, daughter - Marci Maxwell-Smith, son - Monte Maxwell and wife Candice, grandson- Garret Maxwell Smith, sister-in-law- Patty Barger, nephew- Van Barger and niece- Cynthia Tolson.
