Obituary for Nelda Mae Venable (Onstott)
Nelda Mae Venable of McKinney, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maggie and Frank Onstott, husband, Billy Rhodes Venable, her two sisters Dorothy Stokes and Hilda Hullum and three brothers Tony Onstott, Bill Onstott and Elmer Adcock.
Nelda was born in Hubbard, Texas on December 13, 1933. She married Billy Rhodes Venable on July 8, 1952. She loved her husbands family, the “ Venables” of Waxahachie, Texas including Mabel Venable, Thomas “Sonny” and Betty Venable, Elaine Venable, and Martha and Karl Pace along with their children and grandchildren.
Nelda is survived by her three children, Donna Venable Chaffin of Rockwell, Texas, Judith Carol Venable ( husband Chip Deacon) of Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico and Billy Rhodes Venable,Jr of Plano, Texas. Nelda had five grandchildren Kelly Sheppard Johnson of Rowlett Texas, Jamie Dale Monday of Mckinney Texas, Kaley Parr of McKinney Texas, Lindsey Venable of Carrolton Texas and Brennan Melser of Denver Colorado. She also had four great grandchildren.
Nelda was a member of the Midlothian Bible Church since its inception. She enjoyed her many working years as the receptionist at Chaparral Steel and as a caregiver of children at the Midlothian Bible Church.
Nelda loved the Lord and she loved her family and friends. She came to love all her caregivers in her most recent years and enjoyed laughing and talking with them throughout her days. Many sweet memories are left here on Earth as she rejoices with God in heaven.
