Obituary for Richard Thomas Bonsall

Born to Albert and Florence Thompkins Bonsall on October 3rd, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA.
Married to Ingeborg M. Branden November 6th, 1964 until her death in 1991. They had 2 sons and 2 daughters.
Married to Linda M. Taylor April 11th, 2012 until he passed into the arms of the Lord on February 26th, 2023 in Bonham, TX.

Employed by the Department of Defense in the United States Army for 30 years. 3 years in The Signal Corps, 27 years Armor Calvary, and retired as a Command Sargent Major. Served 17 years in Europe, 1 year in Southeast Asia Vietnam War and remainder in the United States Sired.

Received 2 Purple Hearts, Bronze Star, 3 Army Commendations, 2 Army Meritorious Medals, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 5 Campaign Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Bronze Star and Legion of Merit Medal.

Richard spent retirement enjoying time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Peak Church in Midlothian TX. Richard was loved by friends and family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Linda Taylor of Venus, TX. His children: Barbara I. Rall and husband Robert of Goodland KS, Richard C. Bonsall and wife Tris of Aurora, TX. Christin K. Bobo of Elizabethtown, KY. Grady T. Bonsall and wife Janice of Goodland Ks. Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
