Obituary for Robert D Browning
Robert Donald (Don) Browning of Midlothian, Texas, a United States Army Veteran & retired Dallas Police Officer, passed away peacefully at 82 years old surrounded by the love of his family by his side.
Don was born August 1st, 1939 in Edna, Texas, the only child to parents Robert & Maggie Browning. He was a soldier in the US Army from 1956 to 1965, serving in Germany & Vietnam. After returning to the states, he became a Dallas Police Officer where he served 23 years. In 1989, Don began working for Ellis County Sheriff's Office as Deputy Sheriff for 8 years before finally retiring to live out the rest of his life farming his land in Midlothian, Texas.
Don is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha Browning, his son, Dale Browning & his daughter Denise Reynolds, as well as 2 grandchildren, Ryan & wife, Ashley Franks of Burleson, Texas & Lindsey Whitley & fiancé Andrew Sexton of Burleson, Texas & his 8 great-grandchildren & many extended family members. He will be greatly missed.
