Obituary for Robert Lee Chaffin

Robert Chaffin was born in Dallas on July 15, 1946 to Clarence and Ruth Chaffin. He was called to be with the Lord on November 7, 2022 at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Cheryl Chaffin, his parents, and his brother James Chaffin.

He is survived by his children: Theresa Flowers and husband Dennis of Midlothian, grandchildren: Jordan Flowers & wife Cheyenne of Midlothian, and Madison Flowers of Midlothian, sister-in-law: Sylvia Chaffin of Dallas, brother-in-law: Mike Conway & wife Penny of Melissa, and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was married to the love of his life Cheryl for over 40 years. He attended East Texas State University. He worked in banking his entire life and retired from JPMorgan Chase Bank. He was a charter member of Inglewood United Methodist Church, which became the Woods UMC in Grand Prairie. He served wherever he was needed, which included being a greeter, usher, Sunday School teacher, Treasurer, and he even opened the church and started the coffee, until he could no longer drive himself there. He was a kind man, loyal husband, and good father and grandfather.
