Obituary for Roslyn Fay Hammer (Shull)
Rosalyn (Roz) Faye Hammer was born on February 23, 1951, in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of Louis and Leona Shull. In her final days, she was received into the Catholic faith with her baptism.
She passed away peacefully at home early in the morning on May 31, 2022, in Midlothian, Texas.
Roz was preceded in death by her parents and a great granddaughter, Olivia Paige Kuykendall. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Patrick Hammer; sons Robert Kuykendall and Johnny Kuykendall; sisters Elaine Budoff and Janet Hunter; brothers Jeffrey Shull and David Shull; 8 grandchildren and their spouses; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and Patrick’s extended family.
Everyone enjoyed Roz’s presence at family gatherings with her spunky nature and talkative personality. She spent much time "supervising" Patrick and keeping him in line. Roz enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as trips to the coast with her husband and being at home. Her devotion to her family was witnessed in the birthday cards she would send and the numerous family photos she displayed in her home. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
