Obituary for Shawn Joseph Bergin
SFC (Retired) U.S. Army Shawn J. Bergin Sr. passed away on July 27, 2023 peacefully in his sleep.
Shawn served 21 years in the U.S. Army, serving in various roles including the 160th SOAR. He was a certified rescue diver.
After his retirement from the Army, he enjoyed spending time with his family, playing video games and working on computers.
Shawn is survived by his wife Storm S. Bergin; two sons Shawn J. Bergin II and Robert R. Bergin. Daughter Heather R. Elliott and future son-in-law Mark B. Buller.
Mr. Bergin will be buried at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with full Military Honors at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Shawn's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel 2 Towers.
