Obituary for Steven Roger Bolton

Steve was born to Aubrey Glenn Bolton, Sr. and Verna Maxine Bolton on April 12, 1952, in Dallas, Texas. Steve was the fourth born of six boys. As a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, Steve touched many hearts. Remembered and missed for many things, Steve’s generosity, physical strength, and sense of humor emerge as some of his best characteristics. Compelled through his genuine love for people, Steve was a selfless and giving man. His charming charisma led many to characterize Steve as a flirt… a BIG flirt. To know him was to love him. As a successful, hardworking, and confident provider, Steve took great pride in everything he touched. While he was very proud to be the first of his five brothers to buy a new home, those five brothers were equally proud of him and proud for him. Steve was a sensitive yet strong man. An animal lover, he loved his dogs – most especially his pit bull, Blood. Steve also loved the Bible, most recently sharing with his children passages that he held very near and dear in his heart: Psalm 51 and James 5. Steve enjoyed fishing, especially at Massey Lake and Wooten’s Lake in Midlothian, Texas, watching westerns, listening to country music, and reading Louis L’Amour novels. Among Steve’s family members, preceding him in death, include his father Aubrey Glenn Bolton, Sr. and his mother Verna Maxine Bolton; Brothers Aubrey Glenn Bolton, Jr.; Robert Lynn Bolton; Terry Dwayne Bolton. Family members surviving Steve in death include: Brothers: John Reginald (Reggie) Bolton and James Randall (Randy) Bolton Children: Sons, Steven Roger (Stevie) Bolton, Jr. and Casey Vincent Bolton; Daughters, Kimberly Bolton Roberds and Kandice Bolton Botello Grandchildren: Steven Roger Bolton III; Tanner Heath Salik; Chasity Dawn Bolton; Bryse Bolton Salik; Kenzie Renee Bolton; Kiele Marie Bolton; Brayden Rayburn Bolton; Annika Shay Roberds; Kaden Garrett Bolton; Kolby Matthew Bolton; Kenzie Marie Botello; Briella Mae Botello; Layla Alize Botello Great Grandchildren: Leevi Bolton; Presley Bolton; Piper Bolton; Peyton Northrup A plethora of precious nieces and nephews Steve’s children will lay their father to rest next to his brother, Terry, with a graveside service at Red Oak Cemetery on Monday, November 2, 2020, at 12:00 noon.
