Our very special husband, father, brother, Daddo, and friend Thomas Joe Walker was born March 7, 1941 to Jack Walker and Elva J. Lorance in Greenville, TX. Tom answered his last call to service on 10/31/2020. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. Tom married the love of his life, Mary, on May 14, 1960. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Tom enjoyed a 31 year career at the Dallas Fire Department. He attained the rank of Deputy Chief. Tom was a wonderful father to his three children, Thomas Michael Walker, David Wayne Walker, and Mary Kay Elliott. He loved spending time with his children. Tom enjoyed taking them on adventures across the country in their camper to see beautiful sights and teach them to hunt and fish. Tom was an incredible grandfather to his grandchildren Morgan Hope Elliott and Madison Kay Elliott. He shared stories of his adventures of travel, family memories, and entertaining stories of both success and embarrassment on the job. He loved making them laugh. Tom was a wise man who enjoyed sharing wisdom and counseling his children through life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Pearce Walker and Elva Jo Lorance, his brother Jack Walker and his son, Thomas Michael Walker. He will be dearly missed.
