Obituary

We are mourning the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, Weldon Edward Grant, Jr. “Sonny”, 79, went to meet the Lord on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 at his home in Midlothian, Texas. Sonny was born January 12th, 1941 to Weldon Edward Grant, Sr. and Eunice B. Hollingsworth in Clifton, Texas. He was one of four siblings. Sonny served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1963. His career of 50 plus years was built around being a food service salesman. Sonny could sell anything. His charming and people-person personality gave him the ability to soar. He met his loving wife of 39 years in 1980, Dawn Moore, while out twirling around on the dance floor. Their love of golf kept them bonded for decades. After retirement, they traveled the United States for several years attempting to play at golf courses in all 50 states. He was loved dearly and will be missed by all, family, friends, and golf buddies. He is survived by his wife, Sonoma Dawn Moore Grant.
