Obituary for Zachary Christian Stables

Zachary Christian Stables, 30, died Monday, December 5, 2022, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on January 14, 1992. Zach grew up in Midlothian, Texas and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Midlothian High School and Tarleton State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Zach was employed by the Department of Public Safety for over 10 years. In his free time, he loved to play basketball, exercise, and watch movies. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks. His sharp sense of humor never failed to lighten even the most serious situation. He was a special son, brother, grandson, and relative to his extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, beginning at 11:00AM at Midlothian Funeral Home.

Survivors include his parents, Mary Dalton Stables and Michael Christian Stables; his brothers, Jordan Thomas Stables and Michael Dalton Stables; his paternal step-grandmother, Gail Skelton Stables; and an extended family of uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Zach was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frances Galbraith Dalton and William Tolbert Dalton, Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Lois Gibson Stables-DeSomma and Alfred Gray Stables; and cousin Clifford DeWitt Dalton.
